Local Los Angeles Animal Permits

Hollywood Animals has permits from the City of Los Angeles, County of Los Angeles, California Department of Fish and Game, United States Department of Agriculture, APHIS and CITES permits from United States Department of Interior Fish and Wildlife Services for international travel.

International travel with exotic animals requires Export and Import CITES permits from the country you are leaving from and the country you are travel to. These permits can be confusing and difficult to acquire, however our animal coordinators are international permit experts!

Filming animals in and around the City of Los Angeles, requires Production Companies to acquire an animal permit for each location from Los Angeles Animal Services.

Producers can obtain the guidelines for international travel of animals at CITES (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) transportation guideline website

A CITES permit is also required from the country that you are traveling to contact information for each country can be found on their international contact list.

An international CITES permit is also required from US Dept. of Fish & Wildlife Services. Information on permits and laws can be found on their permit overview web page.
